Athlete Of The Week #1
Mariano Rivera- it's awesome to be able to say that you've seen the best player at his position in the history of a sport. And it's even better that he's a good person. Quiet, humble and a pure team player, Mariano Rivera is the best relief pitcher of all time. He's blown a couple of big ones in his career (Cleveland 97, Arizona 2001), but his legacy of clutch pitching far outweighs any blips. 602 saves in the regular season; and even more important, 42 saves in the post-season.
As a Yankees fan, I am relieved (no pun intended) that he's been on my team! Long may you save games, Sandman!

Douchebag #1- Tedy Bruschi
Apparently the stroke jumbled his common sense. Cause, Tedy jumped on Chad Ochocinco for tweeting that he was impressed with his new team's offense. After the demolition of the Dolphins dee; #85 tweeted:
Just waking up after a late arrival,I've never seen a machine operate like that in person,to see video game numbers put up n person was WOW
Now, I have heard many a bitch complain that they weren't getting fed enough passes (even when their team won!). Chad was posting how happy he was to be with a team that didn't employ Carson (bounce pass) Palmer as it's QB. He was HAPPY! And Chad only got one pass all day!
So what's the prob?
Bruschi lambasts Ocho:
You’re not someone who’s on another team or watching TV,“You’re not an analyst. You’re a part of it. They want you to be a part of it. So get with the program because obviously you’re not getting it and you’re tweeting because you’re saying, ‘It’s amazing to see’? It’s amazing to see because you don’t understand it. You still don’t understand it and it’s amazing to you because you can’t get it.
“Wake up! If you’re just waking up now — I don’t know when this was, six minutes ago? — get out your bed and get to the stadium and watch some film if you still think it’s amazing. If you’re in it and you know what you’re doing and you execute out there, you don’t think it’s amazing. You know why? Because it’s what you’re supposed to do.”
Dear Tedy: Fuck off. You're retired and jealous. And trying to stir some contro on TV. You sad, broken down failure. My memories of you weeping in the aftermath of the Giants Super Bowl victory of the Patsies are like delicate breezes on a delightful summer day.

Statement Of Intent
I love sports. I hate assholes. This blog will call the douchebags out, as they deserve to be.
If you don't like, go write a fan letter to Bud Selig. Or Manny Ramirez.
